Gosport school sets new world record with Olympic rings
May 5, 2012
A SECONDARY school in Gosport has set a new world record for the largest number people creating a set of human Olympic rings.
An estimated 2,100 11 to 18 year-olds and staff from Bay House School have accomplished the new record on Monday 30 April in their school field.
Ian Potter, head teacher: ‘We are doing this because the Olympics in these young people’s lives is likely to be a one off.
‘It is also a fantastic whole school event. Bay House has broken many records in its time, but to now put ourselves as a world record breaker is a great achievement.’
